Prahaar Teaser Review: Rajkummar R | Wamiqa G | Jaideep A | Sikandar K | Dinesh V | Avinash A

The teaser of Prahaar - The Ujjwal Nikam Story makes an immediate impact with its dark, intense, and emotionally charged tone. Led by Rajkummar Rao as celebrated public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, the film appears to be a gripping courtroom-political drama rooted in one of India’s most sensitive chapters the 26/11 terror attack trial.

What stands out first is Rajkummar Rao’s transformation. His body language, Marathi-influenced dialogue delivery, and restrained aggression suggest another deeply committed performance. The teaser avoids over-the-top heroism and instead builds tension through silence, sharp courtroom moments, and emotionally loaded dialogues. Director Avinash Arun seems to be aiming for realism rather than commercial melodrama, which gives the teaser a grounded and serious feel.

Visually, the teaser looks polished and cinematic. The muted color palette, intense background score, and quick courtroom cuts create a constant sense of pressure and urgency. The glimpses of the Kasab trial add emotional weight, making the film feel more like a tense legal thriller than a routine biopic.
The supporting cast featuring Wamiqa Gabbi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Sikandar Kher further raises expectations because all three actors are known for powerful screen presence.

That said, some viewers online felt the teaser relied heavily on the 26/11 case and questioned whether the film would offer anything substantially new on a subject already explored in Indian cinema. Others also felt Rajkummar’s aged look and accent may take time to fully connect with audiences.

Overall, Prahaar looks promising, intense, and performance-driven. If the film balances factual realism with emotional storytelling effectively, it could become one of the most compelling courtroom dramas of 2026. The teaser succeeds in creating curiosity without revealing too much  and that is its biggest strength.

Rating for the teaser: 4/5
